Super Naturally

I am reading the memoirs of John G Lake at the moment. I am becoming consumed with his life, as he decided early in his ministry that the life of the Christian was to be lived as Jesus was living in us and through us. He has recorded many of his experiences which are blowing my mind because I have always felt that we, as Christians, should experience supernatural events and walk in signs and wonders. Praying in the spirit and leaving his body, going to the direct places of where the sick were that he was praying for is just one example. Traveling in the spirit. Out of body travel.  These are strange things to the natural mind. Watching body parts healed right in front of our eyes would be amazing! Seeing people who have been crazy all their life suddenly delivered through the power of God flowing through us in the name of Jesus would elevate our souls and bring hope to dying communities!

Why should the satanists and eastern mystics and new agers take what is ours and try and own it? Should we not, as Christians, believe that nothing is impossible? What does that mean? Is it just a phrase to us now? How is it that witch doctors can lay their hands on the sick, and have them recover? When did Jesus say that there would be a time when the power of God would cease to flow through the beings of his disciples? How is it that Phillip can travel in the spirit? How is it that Jesus can say that he saw Phillip sitting under a tree one day, before He ever “knew” him?

These are good and healthy questions I am asking and I am believing that God is going to answer!
